From the brilliant mind of British-Canadian inventor Simon Wilby, The Smart Power CEO comes The Smart One, a gadget that could leave your mobile phone’s charger in the dust bin. Wilby’s invention uses cutting edge technology to use an ancient power source – the Sun.
Unlike conventional batteries that use silicon cells, The Smart One uses plastic cells that retain full circuitry for faster and more efficient charging. It’s so efficient at storing power that it will continue to charge even if partially covered under ambient light.
Simon Wilby demonstrated the potential of The Smart One at its launch in Barbados in December of 2008 when he took out his own mobile phone which had not been charged conventionally since March.
